They push a release and you have no idea what has changed until you discover something else is not working.
#Icedrive net software
I have asked over and over for a page where they lists all of their software releases and a changelog and they have not moved on that front. With all of the problems I have only uploaded 1MM records because the synch comparison takes too long. I can go on and on as I have opened about 12 tickets in total. I am still trying to figure out what additionally they are filtering. I have been unable to reconcile my total files uploaded to my source count because they continue to filter data. I suggested they should provide a common practice where they add a Filter section in their global settings with the Include and Exclude filters where the user can use wildcards of what they want to include or exclude. url extensions and a few more but they have offered no fix. Also, all though they initially claimed they are only filtering certain file extensions they are coming around to admitting they are filtering. There is an artificial limitation of 15 synch pairs which is not disclosed. A user should never have to change their data because a Cloud Storage cannot fix their software. They will close tickets without any exchange so I have to reopen tickets to get them to address the problem. It took them several weeks for me to convince them they have a problem. They state they are having to work through this issue some more and that has been several weeks.

I had to change all of my data to use the word "percent" to get them uploaded.

It loads the file with some strange character and in some cases does not upload the file. I changed the default synch to every 2 hours.Īlso, they have not solved for the use of %, say 4.75% in a file name when uploading content to the encrypted folder. It did however address my complaint where their default synch setting was 5 minutes and it was burning through my SDD drive as it was in a constant state of read\write. They added the option to the global setting but it does not help as all synch pairs continue to synch at the same interval. I suggested they allow the user to set for each synch pair a synch interval as not all sync pairs need to be synched in minutes. If you setup a synch pair with a 300k records, it takes 4+ hours to find the 2 records that changed. The most significant is the design of the desktop application for a large volume of files.
#Icedrive net license
I signed up for Icedrive for their lifetime license and there are many problems with their desktop application.

Mega have a native sync app to sync folder and I saw that IceDrive also have a native Linux app I really use the cloud to keep my college folder backup and not have to worry about having to manually upload it, I don't really upload important files to the cloud just some files I don't care if someone sees since they're not really important. I saw IceDrive and it's sounding really good but I want to know what everyone thinks about it and it's not block from the courthouse I'm interning and my work network, right now I'm using ProtonDrive to store my files but it's in beta and I'm having to use the web app. But, I have one issues I'm having with it my work and courthouse I'm interning as IT it's blocked from their network, I can use a VPN at work to access it but not at the courthouse I'm interning because I'm using their computers.

I've started to use Mega as my cloud storage being that it's open source and encrypted. So I know about using Nextcloud will be better for a cloud service to keep my data private and locally store.
